Greece's IP Law Now Covers Trade Secrets

Greek law is now in harmony with EU Directive 2016/943.


On April 1, 2019, Law 4605/2019 was passed, providing a clear definition of "trade secrets" in line with TRIPS and establishing a legal framework for the protection of know-how and business information. The law allows for injunctive and compensatory damages, among other remedies.
